I removed the HKS resonated h-pipe, and installed the greddy h-pipe. I have dp's and tp's. The unresonated h-pipe leaves the exhaust with as little bassier sound. I think that it sounds better, though. I have never heard a TT with a raspy exhaust note. This includes dp and tp TT's with B&B, Borla, HKS, and Greddy. Now when I put test pipes on my NA...yes, it was very tinny and raspy. It got even worse after I removed the Greddy SP exhaust and put on stock mufflers. I then took the resonated h-pipe from my HKS exhaust and put it on the NA with stock mufflers. This made the car sound much better. In fact, I think that this yielded a good sound...not nearly as loud as an aftermarket system. I also was able to keep the test pipes on the car. Not really a bad exhaust setup for anyone with an NA that doesn't have to worry about emissions, and doesn't want to leave the stock muffler look. Plus, it's pretty cheap, since I'm sure that buying a resonated h/x pipe is much cheaper than full exhaust.
